Exhibition: Objects speak. Collections of the Prado Museum



A survey of the painting in the Prado Museum through the objects that appear in the pictures, and their significance in the work.

The exhibition features 60 paintings and decorative objects from the leading schools of the 16th to 19th centuries contained in the Prado Museum, and includes works by Goya, Rubens, El Greco, Luca Giordano, Sorolla, Velázquez and Brueghel the Elder. The exhibition focuses on the analysis of the objects depicted in the paintings, what the artist wished to convey with them and their value as features identifying the person portrayed.
