Exotic Cyclone Damien made landfall within Western Australia over the weekend and lashed north-western parts of Australia with large rain and damaging winds. Not related to the cyclone, eastern Australia furthermore recently had some substantial rain fall totals. While rain came because welcome relief after the severe bushfires, flash floods have now swept over the region.
