THE world’ s largest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas , broken when a construction crane collapsed onto it, in a port in the Bahamas, is here at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz for repairs.

They have resulted in three Sunday sailings getting cancelled, leaving some travellers absolutely unhappy, especially a honeymoon few, who booked on to the cancelled cruise trips and expressed their concern, through Twitter.

Bridegroom Aaron Gillespie wrote: “ My wedding ceremony is Saturday. #OasisoftheSeas was our honeymoon. Serious emotional damage plus chaos starting my marriage. Are you able to please fix my honeymoon? ”

The incident remaining eight crew members injured, and in addition it damaged the outdoor stage around the upper deck, and several suites. Luckily, there were no passengers on board.

The cancelled departures incorporated one for this weekend and the 3rd a week later. But the ship is usually expected to resume its programme upon 5 th May from Barcelona.

The company said: “ Guests within the three sailings will receive complete refunds, as well as full credit towards a future cruise. We are sorry for that disruption to their holiday plans. ”

The gigantic deliver, launched in 2008, can appeal to more than 6, 400 passengers, along with the 2, 100 crew members.

The liner is likely to return to the Cadiz shipyard later on in the year for a scheduled refit.
